Before You Start Work…
Hello Everyone & Happy New Year for 2009!
We just wanted to share this tip with you before you start work for 2009…
To really help you hit the ground running this year there is one thing we highly recommend you do FIRST.
Now some of you may have already started work for the year or are sorry your Christmas and New Year holidays are over and you’re back in the office… or you’re glad to be back! But whatever your case is if you’re back at work reading this email we’re going to let you off the hook from actually starting work for an hour to do this one thing..
CLEAR OUT YOUR CLUTTER! Clean up your desk, clear out your emails and throw some stuff away!
- If you’ve got Christmas cards hanging around that you don’t want to keep send them to the recycling bin.
- If there are things out on your desk that you could really do putting in a drawer or filing do it
- Update your task and organisation system so it’s fresh and new!
- If there are things you haven’t done from last year that you were just putting off… do them right now.
There is nothing better than starting off a new year off with a clean slate, fresh and energised and ready for new!
So don’t get distracted by actually starting just one new work task… don’t let clutter or things from last year give you a hang over this year… get rid of the cobwebs and set your mind to getting those done first or if they are big tasks schedule them into your calendar to do THIS WEEK.
Once you have simplified your working space, cleared out all clutter, cleaned up and re-organised yourself you will be amazed how much better you feel, you will be more energised and you will have plenty of room for new!
